When Jackass: The Movie came out in 2002, movie theaters across the US filled with fans of the television show of the same name, which ran on MTV. The movie allowed the filmmakers to do stunts that couldn’t have aired on TV. It was a ruder, cruder version of the TV show.
Four years later, they’re back with Jackass: Number Two. Yes, it’s immature, gross, shocking, and even offensive. But they are sure to manage more awe-inspiring stunts.
Amanda and Logan saw the first Jackass. Listen to them marvel over the crass and crazy stuntmen.

Amanda: So you saw the first Jackass the movie right?
Logan: I did and I thought those… I… I’ve watched the show and I’ve… after watching the movie I realized these guys are for real.
Amanda: They’re crazy.
Logan: Right.
Amanda: They’re off their rockers.
Logan: The, the whole thing with the… all the, all the stunts and everything, I thought that was great.
Amanda: I love all those stunts ‘cause they’re crazy, and if you and I sat in a room, we would never even come up with those stunts.
Logan: No.
Amanda: They’re creative.
Logan: No way.
Amanda: And crazy. But vomiting bothers me. Anything else, the blood, that’s cool. The vomiting? Can’t stomach it.
Logan: I can’t take it.
Amanda: Too much.
Logan: It’s impossible.
Amanda: Yeah.
Logan: But the second one’s coming out now and I think that one will be really, really interesting.
Amanda: I just, uh, I really have no idea how they’re gonna top the first one.
Logan: I saw in, on the preview, he was in a rocket and it actually shot into the air and went over the water. So, I don’t, I mean, it… I just saw the very beginning of it but I did see him get in a rocket and fly up in the air.
Amanda: Can’t wait.
Logan: It’s gonna be interesting.

Jackass is another word for donkey. In English, it is also slang for a person who is foolish or stupid. But it can be a slightly offensive term.
Both Amanda and Logan liked the first Jackass movie. They think the stunts are crazy, but creative. It sounds like they will both see Jackass: Number Two.
Have you seen either of the Jackass movies? What did you think?
