"Life is like a Sea. It's as vast as you can imagine; As deep as you can think. Don't waste time measuring your life. You won't succeed. Instead, explore Life. Reach for new harbours as you pass through different phases of life. Make friends on each destination. Enjoy your journey."

"Journeys end. Friends depart. Every phase of life comes to an end. But every end is also a new beginning. It is a new chapter waiting to open. It’s up to you what you want to think about! The End or the New Beginning"

Great words!

September 16, 2008

  1. First take a deep breath. Breathe in for four seconds, breath out for four seconds.
  2. Make sure you are OK when you talk again. Breathing will help you get over that terrible "lump in your throat" feeling.
  3. Don't cry or say dumb insults' like 'your breath stinks' or 'What you say is what you are!' as it's immature.
  4. Don't come back with a big 'about to cry' face, it makes them laugh at you. Plus, it isn't solving anything. It makes you sad, also.
  5. Laugh! Laugh at yourself. It will make the person feel weird. It also shows them that you couldn't care less!
  6. Sometimes, you just have to take a bow. If all else fails, say "Yes, thank you! Thank you very much!" And take a nice, long bow. (When you come up, give 'em an odd look)

Tips

  • Get some good comebacks... just in case. Here are several examples below:
  • "Ooh, someone must have gotten up on the wrong side of the cage this morning."
  • If someone calls you fat, say "Well, at least I can lose weight, you won't lose that hideous thing coming out of your neck...wait, that's your face!"
  • "I would ask how old you were, but you can't count that high."

Warnings

  • Don't be overly mean, it may cause a fight. Know the line between sassy and snobby.

Friendships online are often fleeting,
Made and lost without even once meeting.
How many friends from online have I lost
I haven't kept count nor figured the cost.

Some depart, spouting bluster and rage,
Others as quietly as the turn of a page.
Many return though I couldn't say when,
While the rest are never heard from again.

For the loss of some, the fault is my own,
An unkind word spoken and I'm left alone.
Some friends turn away for no reason at all.
I'm puzzled and hurt when they shun my call.

Scores of friends are forever lost to me
Since the systems we called ceased to be.
And more than once, I've had friends die.
I can't forget them; I don't even try.

So take a moment during your time online
And be aware, though there's no outward sign.
That sound you hear, that solitary crying,
Might well be the sound of friendships dying
.
