I was watching JCTV yesterday, and heard Scott Krippayne's song I'm Not Cool! The chorus of the song really made an impact in my ego... Listening to it really affirm my worth not because of my look, or good work but because I have a God who accepts me as me... whatever flaws I have, no matter how uncool I am... it doesn't really matter... The chorus of the song goes this way...

     I'm not cool but that's okay
     My God loves me anyway
     I'm not cool but that's alright
     I'm still precious in His sight 
     I'm not cool and I don't care
     How I'm supposed to do my hair
     I'm not cool but that's okay
     My God loves me anyway

So for those who are feeling insecure and dissatisfied with their looks... Cheer up guys, Our Creator loves you as you, He made you as unique as possible, the only kind you could be in this world... that's the cool part!

It's been a cliche to say we "fall in love".... but for me falling is a negative action... we ought to "GROW IN LOVE" instead.... Growing is a positive thing. When two people are in love they ought to nurture the love that they have for each other. Love is like planting a seed, we should prepare the soil where we will plant this seed, make sure that we water it, and put the right amount of fertilizer to help it grow. We pray and wait and hope that it will bear much fruit. That's what love is.... we make it grow!

A new year is about to begin. Time flies so fast, 2007 is ending and what awaits us in the year 2008... we don't know.

Will there be more natural calamities? political conflict? war? environmental degradation? economic destability? corruption? violence? crime? immorality? senselessness? materialism?... the list goes on.

Buit one thing is certain for me and that is I will continue to have faith in God who gave us His word of faithfulness, mercy, firgiveness, salvation, abundance and eternal life.

I will continue to believe in His sovereignty and His love. It is better to have a God we can hold unto than to have nothing at all.

Prayer is one tool I carry with me as I face each day of my life... I invite everyone to begin each day with a prayer - the ultimate weapon and shield for the challenges of the coming 2008!
