Sometimes people fall in love at first sight. Other times they get to know each other as friends and then fall in love. And sometimes a particularly stressful event brings people together.

Jason and Devan have been close friends for a long time. He was the first one to discover that she was using drugs and he was also the first one she told that she has cancer.

Jason has been helping Devan through this difficult time, and on their trips to the doctor’s office, they’re getting very close. See how close in this week’s soap opera video.

Jason

Devan: Hey, thanks for taking me to my doctor’s appointment.

Jason: Oh, any time. It must be awful going to those things alone, you know?

Devan: It is, but, I mean, I just really appreciate how you’ve just been here for me these past few weeks, going to all my appointments…

Jason: Totally.

Devan: I mean, I know it’s not the funnest circumstances, but I’ve really enjoyed how much time me and you have gotten to spend together.

Jason: Oh yeah. I mean, you need someone to lean on, you know? And, like…I’ll be your rock. For sure, you know?

Devan: So, um…What are you doing tonight?

Jason: I don’t have any plans.

Devan: Yeah, did…Maybe, would you be interested in coming over and watching a movie?

Jason: Yeah. Totally. It would be great to hang out, you know, not in a doctor’s office or anything.

Devan: Yeah, definitely. It would be much more fun to hang out at my house I think.

Jason: What do you want to watch?

Devan: What about Wayne’s World?

Jason: Yeah.

Devan: You said that was your favorite movie one time.

Jason: Yeah, I did say that.

Devan: Yeah.

Jason: Oh, that’s so cool you remembered. Yeah. Let’s go watch Wayne’s World.

Devan: Yeah. Sounds good.

Devan thanks Jason for going with her to the doctor. He says he doesn’t mind and that he’s happy to help her and keep her company.

As they reach for the elevator, their fingers touch on the button. Then when they get on the elevator, they wriggle their feet nervously. Finally, Devan asks Jason if he’d like to come over and watch a movie that just so happens to be his favorite. What do you think is going on here? Is there a romantic spark between Jason and Devan?

everytime i hear something about cancer,i get shocked ;for a cousin of mine died with it but it's essential you have someone to lean on;and if you don't have it ,remember that you have jesus.who is always there for you.

Yes – nice soap opera.

@ lerusia: Keep cool – I think Devan was using only some times grass or hashish. So thats not so dangerous than many people are using alcohol. And She used this in time as she did getting the message of her cancer. I don't care that pot will helping in this situation but I am care that this will be not a problem for Jason.

Jason was very nervous – he forgot to be gentlemen and did going out of lift before Devan could going out:-)
