A Chinese girl goes to Tibet by herself to surpport Olymics

A chinese actress starts a trip to Tibet to surpport Olymics after hearing the protest against Beijing Olymics. She co

There are many pictures she took with local Tibetans. And she calls on Local Tibetans(common Tibetans and lamas) to sign their names and blessings to Beijing Olymics on a flag. Now she has collected tons of signatures. Brave girl. Keep trying.

From her blog I learned again that the vast majority of Tibetans are friendly and think they are Chinese.

XiaoXiao: Yes, truth is truth and it  couldn't be covered up forever and thanks for giving the information but I think it's only our  Chinese that can understand what this girl has written. :))

-> Don't Japanese people use the same character system as Chinese people? Can a Japanese person read a Chinese newspaper and understand the basic meaning? I see in Japanese writing many Chinese characters.

I would not want to be the Westerners in that show.

While I agree that Tibet is part of China, and that few Tibetans actually want to separate from the country, I would not want to go there as part of a CCTV program. Something about it seems…odd? Too staged for me.

—> Staged or not, it was still very brave of the Chinese girl to go to Tibet. Although, she wasn't alone, right? I mean, who was taking the photos? :)

The girl was born in Tibet. Tibet is a good reminder of her childhood.

One day my former university classmate told me a very interesting story.

A daughter of her co-worker disappeared for several days. Her mother was really worried about the girl when she received a call from the girl and was told she was in Tibet. The girl went to Tibet with money on her which was only enough to buy a train ticket. She arrived at Tibet and found a part-time job. Besides she went to Budala Temple everyday and got so familiar with local Tibetans that she slipped into the temple without buying the ticket, because they mistook her as a tibetan( I heard that Budala Palace Temple is free to local Tibetans. Is that true?)

When she returned home, she bought her families many presents.

(This is a true story, but maybe some details aren't so accurate because I heard about it almost one year ago. And at that time When I was told the story I just said one sentence:"Wow! Nowadays, these young university students are really brave. "
