Compassion

It's an allegory on our human relationship nowadays. A lion is a strong, confident, aggressive, "always right" personality. A zebra is totally different one - mild, smart in its own way, not aggressive, submissive, fearful. So, intstead of attacking that personality like ferocious lions or angry tigresses, it's better think about a compassion. This is an issue of nowadays, unfortunately.  

Now I know that no animal can survive that doesn’t have its own well-being as its top priority; every animal must fundamentally look after itself. Like all other animals, human beings respond strongly to events that threaten their well-being.  However, with that being said, I strongly believe that survival depends on trust - we have to trust someone - we cannot survive alone - we are useless as single links - being not connected to other links.

As far as anyone 'counting' on me - I would like to suggest that we need to count on one another as seperat units forming one great unit.  Individually we cannot form a chain.  Individually we are links - not much can be done with a single link. But if joined by other like-minded links we can form a chain. However, as a chain, we are only as strong as each and every other link.  What I can be depended on is that should this chain be tested, I will be as strong as the rest of all the other links - I will do my part to keep the chain from being ripped apart.

No, you aren't zebras, and I'm not really a lion - but don't tell anyone else that. jeje

No doubt, the best way to live the life without  a twinge of conscience is to be compassionate. And here I agree with you.

In this special case I deeply believe you will never eat me up since we are friends so far.:)

Maybe you're right - maybe man is doomed to kill itself off - all I have is hope that it won't. And with this hope, I will try to live my life until its end with compassion for others.  I promise that I won't eat you even if your are a sweet zebra.  :)

Compassion will  definitely  save us, as what can be more precious than love for neighbour.

Still,  looking at the picture, you posted on your blog, I think, when the lion is going to eat that poor zebra.
