These days, you hear a lot of buzz about the environment. Being environmentally friendly is important. There are lots of easy ways to cut down on waste and help the environment. You can use reusable shopping bags, recycle, and plant a tree. Use tap water instead of bottled water. Do you love coffee? Then buy a reusable travel mug instead of using paper coffee cups. Ride your bike!

Many large companies are also finding ways to cut down their carbon footprint. Some companies want their employees to take public transit, or to carpool. Carpooling is a great way to spend less money on gas. Carpooling is also a great way to build a good relationship with your coworkers. It reduces the number of cars on the road, and it reduces the stress of driving alone in rush hour traffic.

Kelsey loves to carpool. Listen as she tells Jordin about carpooling with her neighbors.

Kelsey:  Hey, Jordin. I just started carpooling with my neighbors to work. And it’s been so great!

Jordin:  Hm.

Kelsey:  Do you drive to work?

Jordin:  No. I usually either ride my bike, or I take transit.

Kelsey:  Oh, cool. Do you have a car?

Jordin:  No, I don’t have a car. I just want to be environmentally friendly, you know.

Kelsey:  Yeah, for sure. That’s actually why I started carpooling. I thought it would be nice to cut down on my personal expenses. But also, like, the number of cars on the road.

Jordin:  Yeah, that’s great. Do you have a good relationship with your neighbors?

Kelsey:  Yeah! Yeah and we trade off who’s driving, and that way we can use the carpool lane

Jordin:  Awesome.

Kelsey:  And get to work faster…

Jordin:  Yeah.

Kelsey:  Which always helps.

Jordin:  That’s great. That’s a great way to cut down on your carbon footprint.

Kelsey:  Yeah, and most of the time they’ll pick me up at my house. Or just meet me there and I’ll drive. Which is super easy.

Jordin:  That’s super nice. Yeah. I don’t know. I don’t really like my neighbors. So, I feel like it might be hard to carpool with them.

Kelsey:  Yeah. And you also don’t have a car so that would make it extra hard.

Jordin:  Yeah. I could also just, like, get a ride, I guess. But I don’t know. I prefer my bike.

Kelsey:  Yeah. Yeah, and they probably wouldn’t love that.

Jordin:  I guess. It wouldn’t be very fair.

Kelsey tells Jordin that she just started carpooling with her neighbors. She thinks it’s great. Jordin says she usually rides her bike or takes public transportation to work. She is trying to be environmentally friendly. Kelsey says that’s why she started carpooling.

It has also cut down her personal expenses, and she gets to work faster. Jordin doesn’t think she would like carpooling because she doesn’t really like her neighbors. She also doesn’t own a car, which would make carpooling hard. She would prefer to ride her bike.

Have you ever carpooled? Or do you prefer to ride your bike?

I thought I hadn’t done that. But if the dating a car on the net would be, I thought I had ever done.  I rarely use the car except going far . I don’t like ride the bike especially in such hot day. I prefer walk.

I agree what the Jordin and Kelsey said in the article. We all should think of the environment. Not only because of us all but also our children and children of children.

There are more and more people , and more and more cars, and more and more wasting, more and more destroying. The environment is becoming more and more worrying. We all should be doing something for improving  environment.
