Having a fever is no fun. You’re sick. You probably have to stay in bed. And you definitely don’t feel like doing anything or seeing anybody.

When you have cabin fever, you’re not really sick, but you don’t feel well, either. If you have cabin fever, you’re stuck inside a small space, like a cabin in the woods, and you can’t go outside. You might think the walls are getting smaller and smaller, and you’re pretty sure you’ll go crazy if you don’t get out quickly!

Sometimes people have cabin fever because there’s a storm outside. It’s snowing really hard, and it’s not safe to go outdoors. Other times, cabin fever simply means that a person is bored. Students might have cabin fever by the end of a long school day. A patient who just had surgery might have cabin fever because he has to stay in bed for many days to heal.

Olympic gold medalist Kristi Yamaguchi has some tricks for keeping her daughters busy when they have to stay inside all day. She doesn’t want them to get cabin fever, so she makes sure they have plenty of crafts to make and games to play. That way, they won’t feel stuck inside. Their brains are active, so the girls won’t get bored.

Do you get cabin fever if you have to stay indoors for a long time? How can you keep busy when you can’t go outside?

I have been inside for 6 months because I couldn’t get new job. I try to do something positive like learning English to get a good job, do exercise to fix body, summarise and improve my expert works. But I still feel cabin fever. I think the introvert or extrovert may need to connect to other people and keep the brain active :D

Excess in anything may cause that feeling I think. As we are not born to have constant fun, I try to make use of unintended moments. If I have peace of mind, I can bear anything regardless of where I am. Life is beautiful, and I can’t let conditions ruin it.

Yes i do. As for being outdoors during most of my life time if i have to be indoors i’ll get cabin fever, i think. In fact, I can’t stay in somewhere for a long time. In my opinion it might makes me to get frustrated and also provides the life so quit with no excitement and indeed uneventful.

If so, i prefer to use internet in order to make connection with my crazy friends. I’ll look for ways to make fun more and more. Inviting close friends, reading books, watching great movies, maybe English baby, writing papers, social networks and lots of other things are other choice which i can opt

I had cabin fever once because it was a terrible winter, snow everywhere.  I had to stay at home almost two weeks.  I didn’t like it much :D

When I finally could go out I realized how wonderful is to be free and enjoy the life :D

I think that I’d define how  a state of “stagnation”or “marasmus”. When everything seems break out of routine, so any acction it might be made. But maybe not always it can be made. This can be apper in differents situations for example :  relationship, work environment, long time making more the same or with nothing to do etc. Usually, it comes from a dissatisfaction whatsoever.

I think that all the people feel cabin fever sometimes.

When I’m all day studying and there is a good day in the street, I need to get out to street for a walk, or have a beer in a terrace.

Sometimes when I have had a hard day in the work, I feel cabin fever and I need to go to street and breathe fresh air, well, in live in a city, the air isn’t fresh. but even so I need to get out.

I have to say I rarely have cabin fever and I don’t go out a lot.so What’s the trick to stay busy when you’re in?

1 always find something to do,even the things that seem too simple to do in your opinion.I like to clean my boots.

2 develop a hobby.here comes the spare time and that’s where hobby works.a good hobby helps you out of boring time.

3 keep it in mind that time is luxious,do not waste.

as all the above,I am sure you are not having a cabin fever.

Well, it really depends on the situatuion. I do enjoy some time alone, but I have to be able to get out whenever I want. If I feel like I’m cooped up in that place, I’ll probably get cabin fever. I love freedom! :)
