Jason was asked to be a guest on The Ed Forman Show with Ed Forman. Did you notice how Ed’s name appears twice in the title of his show? He’s a little bit full of himself. You could also say he’s self-centered or arrogant. But it suits him because he’s a talk show host. When you host your own show, it helps to be a blowhard.
Of course, just being interviewed on Ed’s show wouldn’t be EXTREME enough for EXTREME English, baby! So Jason challenges Ed to a competition to see who can blow up a balloon faster. Ed asks if a woman from the audience can play too and she wins!
But just because he didn’t blow up a balloon very fast doesn’t mean Ed’s not a blowhard. In fact, he shows that he is when Jason asks him to explain what the term means and he keeps working his name into different words! Instead of “excellent” he says “Ed-cellent” and by “Ed-telligent” he means “intelligent.”
Do you know any blowhards who could fill up a balloon fast with all the talking about themselves they do?
