There will be a lot of people in the world. In fact, the population in the year 2020 could be more than 6 billion. There will be so many people in the world that only half of the population will have enough to eat. The others will not be so lucky.
There will be very little oil left, and very few cars. People will not be able to do very much at night, because electricity will be very expensive. Few people will be able to afford it. No light, no heating, no television- people will just have to go to bed early.
But it might not be so bad. There won't be any more pollution, because there won't be many cars, factories or machines.
The agricultural countries will live better than the industrial countries, but all countries, but all countries will live worse than we do today.
Why will this happen? It will happen because we are using too much of everything- too much oil, too many trees, too many minerals. Soon there will be nothing left; Most of the world's resources will be finished. Scientists should tell people about the danger. In fact, some scientists have been telling people about this danger for many years. but the problem is getting worse everyday. We've got to do something now before it's too late.
