opposite of on the rise

Hello,

May I ask what is the opposite phrase of "on the rise"? For example, some people say that now the rate of allergy is on the rise but if it is going down, what should I say? Thank you very much.

Hi! I would just say "going down" or "decreasing." You could also say that it is "falling."
