A paddy field and wooden houses are typical sights at a Malay village. There are also coconut trees planted by villagers. An old coconut tree can grow taller than wooden houses built on stilts. In the paddy fields, there are farmers with their water buffaloes plowing soil to start sowing paddy seeds. A water buffalo is larger than a farmer. A paddy field is wet, watery, and swampy. It provides a good habitat for fish, snails, insects, and birds. Farmers hate snails because they do a huge damage to the paddy; therefore, the farmers rear duck, the snails' natural predator, to wipe the snails out. How wonderful it is to see a mother duck and its babies hunting for snails in the watery mud. That is what nature gives us all, tranquility, and peace.
